We just confirmed with Barry of “HOTROD” that they will perform at our Dover Drags…as we put together that Sat Night ‘Party’

HOTROD is a five-piece band that’s been rocking the Hudson Valley since 1996. Covering songs from the 50’s to the 90’s, they perform an ever-expanding repertoire for audiences of all ages. From the roots of Doo-Wop to the psychedelic 60’s, from the guitar rock of the 70’s to the sounds of the 80’s, HOTROD shares music that awakens our synapses and makes audiences feel alive. The Band doesn’t play for free..even though ,they’re giving us a whooping discount just to join the party and hang out for the weekend. .It’ll be like the Old Fore N Aft and Village Barn days…. $2.00 at the door ….sounds ’60’s reasonable.

THE party IS ON….Oval track Is running…but just a ‘street stock’ thing.No big divisions.So Wayne says hardly any of the Roundy-round folks will even be in the Clubhouse…we got full run of the place…and the kitchen will be open. Rocking to the HOTROD Band ! .

Final Party Plans….The kitchen WILL be open….Band Rockin out…Bring your Movies and Photo Books…Wayne might even help out bar-tending. 😆 ..Might even get “Verminator Kim” to pour…she’s a hotshot Barmaid .Place holds 300+ and even has a stage….I might even bring my Strat and V-Bob can play accordion. Plan to open it up as soon as last runs done about 6 at the latest…maybe 5:30…Band to play 7-10… Tip the bartender and get to bed early…Tech opens 8am sunday.

Just off the phone with Wayne…The Oval Track IS NOT RUNNING…So It’s ALL ours AND the Spectator Parking Lot Too. Any racers using That Lot on saturday, have to Move out By 8am Sunday Am For Car Show
