Hey Guy’s..Heard a rumor from a waitress at Marcus that the deal to sell fell threw. She said it’s going to continue to be business as usual. Anyone else hear anything?? Smokey, Grover…..

hi as of right now we havent heard a thing, but as you all know its not over till its over. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all the odf…the good lord willing we will see you all in the spring.

Tommy…that mean the waitress WASN’T loosing her job? and the restaurant stays open?….Go for breakfast again and do the Dover CSI. 😆 we know they’re moving the milk trucks/plant out…maybe restaurant stays open ! and more room to park with no trucks.

well dino. i went right by it up rt. 7 on friday the 14th of january on my way up to new milford to do my monthly paper route for don clady the editor of connecticut cruise news and it was the resturant still open as far as i saw from when i drove past that area. i did not have time to stop in though to talk to anyone. i would check on my way back home but i go down rt. 25 towards bridgeport when i leave his house after the papers are picked up and then they go to be delivered from there southbound back towards stamford for me and his customers. so thats all i know for right now . chris fastlane 😎

The Marcus Dairy Bar will close its doors for good after the business day ends Sunday.
Founded in 1948 by Jack and Pearl Marcus, the dairy bar at 3 Sugar Hollow Road, became a Danbury landmark over the years.
Its contents will be sold at a public auction at the site Feb. 27.

………….So Big Deal …didn’t say the building was coming down or anything…..and no public announcement as to ownership change.Unless they bulldoze the place …the events can still go on -right? Or ,just move the ‘party’ to a new location,like we did with the Drags. Any one in their right mind would welcome hundreds -make that thousands of potential customers every week and once a year for the Big Reunion. It ain’t over -it’s Dover !

Alrighty…Pays to go the ‘main man’- “SMOKEY”.He’s got the real deal info.He was there last Friday and Here It Is. The Building is coming down in about a month.Then they have to do the ” Enviromental ‘ EPA contamination & pollution testing of the property .That ought to be good.They been dumping diesel & drain oil for the life of the business ,not counting what has leaked out of the trucks.They will move their offices to commerce park. Seems good ole Whole Foods is coming in. Organic and ‘wholesome ‘ food chain.See their site for all the Green -Friendly things they do 😮 .:

………..As of now, Smokey still plans to hold a 21st Reunion …Where is the question.And as far as the Cruise,Its history unless they find a big enough and suitable replacement location. He’s continually on the look-out and maybe ‘someone’ will approuch them ??? Thats the latest…Will keep ya posted as news comes in.

Its a shame,gonna be one lame summer. Im not buying anything in Wholefoods either, F’em! Lets all try and find those guys a new place so we can keep the BEST cruise night in the Northeast going !
