        Kevin M. Dunn
        Born in Stamford on Apr. 11, 1943
        Departed on Jun. 12, 2012 and resided in Charlestown, RI.

        Visitation: Sunday, Jun. 17, 2012
        Service: Monday, Jun. 18, 2012

        Chief Kevin M. Dunn, age 69, of Charlestown RI, son of the late Joseph F. Dunn and Helen Gaffney Dunn passed away on Tuesday June 12, 2012, in Wakefield, RI. A long time resident of Darien he was born on April 11, 1943 in Stamford CT.
        Kevin was a member of the Darien Volunteer Fire Department, and was Chief from 1973-1974. He had a passion for fishing and rebuilding old cars as well as car racing.
        He is survived by Carole Dunn Tyler, sister of Darien CT, and Janet D. Murphy, sister, and husband Frank Murphy of Norwalk. Kevin is also survived by two nephews William H. Tyler and his wife Denise, Daniel C. Tyler and his wife Colleen, two nieces Amy Tyler Capozzoli and her husband Robert C. and Kara Murphy, and several great nephews and nieces.
        Calling hours will take place at the Edward Lawrence Funeral Home, 2119 Boston Post Road, Darien CT 06820, on Sunday June 17, 2012, from 2:00PM to 6:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday June 18, 2012, at 10:00 AM at St. John’s RC Church, 1986 Boston Post Road, Darien CT. Interment will follow at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. http://www.lawrencefuneralhome.com

                            Kevin’s street /strip Gasser pick-up… .now residing in ‘It’s” final resting place in Don Garlits Museum.A fitting tribute to a Dover Original ‘Family Member”. This was THE FIRST car through the gate at our First Dover Nostalgia Drags in 2009 at Island Dragway.

                                        Kevin lived and worked in Darien, Connecticut one of the busiest areas of Ct.with I-95 running right through it!
                                        Kevin retired and moved from the rat race in Ct. to Charleston,R.I.,just a few miles down the road from our beloved Billy “Speed” Casey !! Oh,and a stones throw from the old Charlie Town Drag Strip!!
                                        Kevins retirement home on Charlestown Breachway Rd. is on the market for $399,900!!

                                                            I had Kevins mass card in front of the computer so I would remember to post and still forgot !
                                                            I was in R.I. this past weekend and pulled into Kevins driveway!
                                                            House is empty and still for sale!
                                                            Just not the same ride to Charlestown !
                                                            Hope your cutting 00 lights and not letting Casey beat you up too much!

                                                                Wow …a year already. Would be cool to Get Cy to bring the his old Willys to the Race…He doesn’t have to run it …just put in Dover Car Display.Somebody rattle his cage.
