Just remembered,that backside of a pit pass was at SIR out in Washington state.
That’s where Bob Lambeck and Jerry Ruth would have been running!!

Video Bob…..You saying no pictures of your own ’55’s? That would be bad.
RT 8, the old RT 8 is where I use to live in Shelton about 4 miles from the Merit Parkway.
Mater of fact the picture of my ’55 was taken on RT 8 across from the Fairchild Trailer Park, that was home for 6 years. That picture was taken when I was selling the car back in 1966.
I ran National Speedway alot with my 57 chevy gasser on sat. nights … the track was hi-teck compaird to dover . very clean and good bite . I was just ready to run when that very bad accident happened when the wheel stander backed into the crowd in back of the starting line. it was the AHRA Summer Natl. in 1968 the week before I got married . Didn’t go back till a NHRA meet in 1977 . I’ll never forget that . a friend of mine from S@K Speed lost both his legs …. Billy
