            BRIAN,

Thats all our friend Jim Asai talked about was Mountain. Honestly, the first album I ever
bought was Mountain “Climbing”, which came out after Woodstock. “Mississippi Queen”,
“The Boys in the Band”, “Never in my Life” and “For Yasgur’s Farm.
The band added Corky Laing to the drums, who was the coolest looking dude on the planet.
Follow-up hit, “Nantucket Sleighride”. No tell me, wouldn’t that be the coolest name for
an AA/FD rail, besides the “Shotgun Express”.
Saw Leslie West in 1977 at the “Gemini” in Yorktown. Fat, drugged out and barely able to stand. What a cool night for $5.00.
Heard he turned it around a bit, and still can get the opening riff to “Mississippi Queen” to sound like an artillery blast.

            Grace Slick; “Good Morning People”.
