BUTCH HOOPER RACED WITH VITO SABATO IN THE EARLY 70S WHEN THEY FIRST WENT RACING IN THE MODIFIED CLASS WITH THERE SPORTSTER “HAZEL” AS PARTNERS BUTCH RODE THE BIKE FIRST THEN VITO TOOK OVER THE CONTROLS AT DOVER DAYS TILL THEY CLOSED AND WENT TO ATCO FOR THOSE EARLY A.M.D.R.A. RACES . I GOT A NICE SHOT OF VITOS MODIFIED SPORTSTER BIKE FROM CT DRAGWAY IN 1985 AT THE DRAGBIKE SUMMER NATIONALS .

                                Here is a car from the Stamford area (Rowayton, CT) owned by Steve Ackerman who bought the car new. Pictured here is the car in ’69 with a Dover win trophy. The car was a GTX 440-Auto on column, dark blue on chrome reverse.
