Cecil County had winter warmup weekends in dec. jan. and feb. and opened for the season the first sunday in march.
I was there jan 3, 1965 had a new 292 ci engine in the 55 chevy wagon. I remember seeing jenkins running the
Black Arrow there many times but that day i’m not sure it was lettered yet.
I wouldn’t doubt the Jenkins’ book. I know at least one of the eastern tracks had a “Warm up for the Winternationals” thing going every year. It may have been Cecil County…
