HEY,,MASO,
What ever happened to AMY KARROW.???
Didn’t she end up bartending at Central Park North,,that little bar on Central Avenue,
in Hartsdale 😆
That guy Steve,,was really a ‘Chain Reaction’,,,I still have The Joe Perry Project cassette
from 1980,,Had to pop it in..”Let The Music Do the Talking”.
Hard to imagine, that band started playing small high school venues up in Boston, and stayed together through all the turmoil…Started to listen them, when a nice little drag strip was still operating in a small town called Wingdale..Ever hear of it,,’Dover Drag Strip’ 😥
Paul,,’Mama Kin’
Do you remember that ********* Ray Tabano…???

Good Bar Names;
* Rising Sun (Yonkers)
* L’Amour (Brooklyn)
* Hole in the Wall (Rochelle Park, NJ)
But the best,,,,’HammerHeads”,,Long Island
Paul,,,May have another Long island Ice Tea 😆
Tried the search but couldn’t find this so I’ll put it in, I just heard it on NPRs WAMC but I think I heard it before. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QlzSpze0cGU Pretty Cool Chip Taylors “Yonkers NY”
Pat
I didn’t know her, but Billy Casey might. I would have been in the same graduation class as them, Tallerico, Karrow and Billy Casey and his wife if I hadn’t left the public school system in my 5th grade. I had many friends in the Class of ’67 at RHS, but Amy Karrow wasn’t one of them. Ask Billy Casey and maybe Billy’s wife will know something about that.
Got two of my friends in Yonkers searching,,,,,,just for trivia location fun.
Anyone know or remember Ritchie Labarbera,,track runner..He’s my buddy.
Hopefully we can track her down,,it will really be a real challenge if she changed over to a man. 😕
Alot of that happening lately 😯 ,,As anybody seen Hilary Clinton lately,,OOOFA 😮
Paul,,,,,Inspector Clouseau,
Got a memory flash,,does anyone remember the 67′ Barracuda ‘Propane X’ that Suburban
Propane put togther…Am I in the correct ‘ballpark’???
Billy and Donna was older than Amy Karow, She was one of the elite back in Roosevelt .I graduated from there in 1967 we had 3 groups back then ,The elite……. Tallerico’s crew…. and the guys who knew who went to school for fun. We hung out at the Jumping Jack,Ernestos,DePalos Dugout,Foley O’brians, then onto The Second Floor,The Lollipop and to the Bronx ,The Beat Goes On and Maxims where every week another guy got shot until they closed it down.The Vanilla Fudge used to play there all the time and they had a bouncer who looked like Sam the Sham. And then there was Fudgies in Scarsdale .Tony tried to bring some class to Scarsdale by bringing in big names but they did not like ITALIAN PEOPLE…. and when some guy got shot there it went downhill.
bobrizzi,
Vanilla Fudge,,,every garage band back in 1970 had to know their version of
“You Keep Me Hangin’ On”…..Carmine Appice’ on drums,,,the best power-drummer,
showed John Bonham a few tricks in 69′,,when Led Zeppelin would open for the ‘Fudge’.
Garage bands standard songs for 1970;
* “You Keep Me Hangin’ On” (Vanilla Fudge)
* “In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida” (Iron Butterfly)
* “Mean Mistreater” (Grand Funk)
* “For Your Love” (The Yardbirds)
* Mississippi Queen” (Mountain)..(pre-Mountain; The Vagrants w/Leslie West)
Paul,,,’How bout a Fresca’ (who said that?)
You got a top 10 list there. Vanilla Fudge You keep me Hangin On I would leave Yonkers go all the way to the Bronx and the record would still be on …….
bobrizzi,,
Yes,,definitely a 3-town song for me. Leave Mahopac, go thru Amawalk and into
Yorktown…..Dino any visits to the INN BETWEEN (Yorktown)…You had to make a stop there at least once,,,,after ‘Frisco’s”….Paul,,,just an after-thought,,,Carmine Appice is
64 years old,,and still pounding that big bass drum…
Dino……….Mark Hitt called yesterday….I’m doing some work on his Audi RS6 in about 2 weeks….He’s very busy on the road and in NY and has not had much time for the DDS…..He did say you asked him about the Forum music……I’ll call you today……………Don……….
Paul it is called MA-HO-PAC today and because of this change the property taxes have gone through the roof. Rizzi~~ (and Mr.Kauer they also closed down your old hangout the Lake Lounge)
