Pete……Thanks for the nice words.
Replaced the broken push rod guide, adjusted all the valves and started the engine, sounds good. Cleaned up all the oily hand prints and we will be headed to the Plant City car show in a little while. The new mufflers have made the exhaust sound a lot quieter, almost legal.
We made it to the Plant City car show. There were a number of people that got a good laugh at a street driven 60’s style gasser with a working air conditioner.
Mary is happy the a/c works good and when Mary is happy everyone is happy. 😀 😆
We are planning to test the 55 at the Lakeland track this Friday or Saturday if Friday is rained out.
Mikey, you ready to test again?
Hey Tom,GOOD LUCK and have fun Friday ! I told Mikey the same thing if he is able to make it too! If your able to,post some photos on the forum,o.k.? Thanks! Pete.
Started out to the Lakeland track, got a call before getting there, it was rained out.
Will try again next Friday.
Tom …Ya gonna run the “Kid” again on his Bike!?
Dino….Yes, that’s our plan. Ronny has been working very hard with new equipment and lots of testing. I hope to test for the first time this friday. As long as it can be fit into the schedule we want to race each other and this will be our 5th time to race against each other.
Yup, me too. 😆
Once again! Good luck and have fun Mikey and Tom!!!!! 😉 😀 . Pete
Tested last night but it was a very short and rushed test secession. The car ran straight and that’s a good thing. The rain came early and the right rear tire went flat. My buddy had me turn off the air conditioner so I wouldn’t leave water on the track. Couldn’t even be cool but it was good to get back on the dragstrip.
Got the flat tire fixed and took the 55 on a test ride yesterday. Will be getting ready to start out on our trip north next week. We will start out by heading to the mountains to ride the motorcycle and get cooled off before heading to NY.
There…..Just Right. Look for a White Falcon on the Highways with Carmel Ford on the doors .Alan Heady from Florida Too ,heading up.And Dennis Stibilo with his Wedge Street car.
