Tom 6 years and 18000 miles to The Dover race and A CELL phone incident close to home? that is just pitiful…nobody hurt but I”d have some REAL words to tell her.
Blakes ‘midnight Auto” ‘can-do’ while you sleep.
Tom,you and your wife ‘gotta’ be HAPPY CAMPERS, the way the ’55’ turned out, once again, LOOKS GREAT!!!! 😉 😀
Decided to re-locate all the wiring so it could go behind the removable fiberglass dashboard. Disconnected all the wires from the terminal board that was getting hard to troubleshoot. It was also getting too crowded to add more stuff so we made a new panel to attach everything to.
It got late to make a Monday car show so we temporally connected everything to see if it would work and everything is working. Covered the mess up with the dash and will go back to make it all neat later this week.
Tom you gotta get a hold of ‘Mater’ Joe, and have him send some tomato sauce for all that ‘spaghetti’ under the ’55’ dash!!! lol 😆 😉 Pete.
Pete….Ever check your messages (PM’s)?
Just did Tom,also pm’d ya back; thank you for thinking of me! 😉 Pete.
The wiring is now down to a nice manageable organized mess. It took some time to make the wiring diagram to follow just where all the wires come from and go to. This also puts everything in a good accessible place to troubleshoot, check and add or remove stuff. We can sit in the passenger seat and work on everything. Than another good feature is the removable fiberglass dashboard covers all of this. The best part is there was no smoke or fire and everything works the first time.
Beautiful ‘pro’ job Tom,it looks ‘GREAT’!!! 😉 Pete.
In the last picture, I see an RPM activated box. Is that for your Trans Brake, or your shift point? Just curious. Oh, by the way, beautiful job on the wiring. ……………….Mikey
Mikey….Good to hear from you, the box is for the shift point. Next project we have already started is to modify the floor. We cut the driveshaft cover into two pieces to make it look better and for easier access. Getting ready to do the interior. That will be this years big project, nice interior.
No smoke or fire very important, looks great nice job.
