SS Pete…..Tires work pretty good on the street but not been to the track yet. The Hoosiers are soft rubber and winkle sidewalls same as the other tires we had on the Mustang and they worked good at the track.
Backup lites will work on a separate switch but not connected yet. The wires are in place but not connected.
We worked the past three days on front suspension, tried to raze the front end up but didn’t work as planned. We are back to the original position on the front struts.
Windows now have butterfly Dzus fasteners and no need for a tool to remove them anymore.
Tom,eventually will you add w/wipers also, in the event you might be stuck for a sudden downpour of rain while cruising,or attending a car show? 😮 🙄 😳 Pete.
Pete ….Wipers are going to be a challenge. The original location for the wiper arms is where the distributor is positioned. We have thought about this problem but so far have not got a very good solution. Even thought about a manual wiper for the driver side for the emergencies that you mentioned above.
Tom how about a boat wiper motor (you have plenty of them in Fla) or a early jeep wiper motor. They work individually just mount in inside under the dash sticking out the wiper hole.

Thats the old Dover Spirit…helping the “family” out…now if we can get the “guys’ Together to put together a “Little Giant” clone …we’de be all over the Media about it.
Finally got all the lights wired and working. Today finished the inside dome light, the outside gauge lights, the backup lights and front parking lights.
Glad to have all the wiring done so I can move on to something more fun.
Now,all you got left Tom,is the radio, heater, and cigarette lighter ! 😆 😆 😆 Just kidding Tom. Seriously, you’ve come a “LONG” way! Congratulations and enjoy the ‘fruits of your labor’!!! Pete.
Thanks to SS Pete we now have a working horn, activated from the steering wheel horn button. We are still trying to make this a more streetable race car. Every light socket on the car now has a bulb in it and every bulb works.
More changes are coming after some parts arrive soon.
We are coming up with new ideas to avoid doing the much needed but dreaded bodywork.
Tom,I had to see it…to believe it!!!! That for sure is ‘COOL’!!! Nice! 😮 😆
I’m speechless!!……………………… 😮 😯
I could have lost my co-pilot for the summer car shows if we didn’t cool down the inside of the car. So we are working to fix that problem. I think it was a good idea and a challenge also. Got all the hard parts mounted, now need the plumbing and electrical connections.
We’ll be cool at Lebanon Valley this year. 🙂
The air conditioner system works, blows 40 degree cold air out the overhead vents. Still need to assemble several other items. The trans cooler needs a new place and Mary carpeted the trans and driveshaft covers, need to open the Dzus fastener holes and install them. Than put the passenger seat back in, install the two new mufflers and that should finish that up for now.
When all that is done it will off on a cool local test trip.
Mufflers. you have mufflers?? 😮 😯 😆
