You bet Pete. Even e-mailed them that I never had that good a service on anything. Came to the house, pickup the parts, repaired, tested and ship back. All that done without any additional charge. Yes I was pretty happy
Hey Tom, other than the trans problem you had, that’s a great story. They all brag about
their customer service, but getting it to work is another story. Glad everything worked out for you.
Hey, is that DDS@The Valley date change going to affect your usual plans? It’s like 6 weeks later!
Frank… 😎
Frank….as of today the new 4L80 trans installation has 142 miles and working great. The later schedule for the Dover race is still in our plans, as long as we can drive we will be coming. We have been talking about making the Tri-Five Nationals in Bowling Green this year also.
“NICE” TOM….way to go!!! The ’55’ will “LOVE” it!!! 😉 🙂 Pete.
That’s a beauty Tom ❗ It looks big enough for the 55 and
a lot more stuff. 😆
Frank…. 😎
Frank….the lot more stuff includes the Kawasaki, the Honda pit bike, two rear tires for the 55 and a 12 volt battery for the electric jack. I am sure we will find more stuff to add to that list.
Yeah Tom, I hear ya ❗ You start loading it, it will get small quick ❗ 😮
At least now everything is protected.. Needs a bench and cabinets and shelves also. 😆
Enjoy it ❗
Frank… 😎
Black and White Checkerboard floor and i would call it home !!! … nice rig my friend.. safe travels…
We started an “Endless Summer” for an old Dover drag racer. Last Thursday August 4th we left home.
The first stop was Macon GA, to see our drag racing partner from Dover, Bill McWilliams.
Bill and I had put together the B/A 37 Ford with the Chevy 409 engine and 4 speed back in 1965.
Than we headed north to Bowling Green KY. This event is the Tri Five Nationals. Got here early, parked in the campground where the event is to be held.
We took the 55 out of the trailer and got to drive it around Bowling Green some. We met people from California to Maine so far and the event doesn’t start till September 12th. We have heard that more than 2300 (55, 56 and 57) Chevy’s have pre- registered for this event.
During the event here we hope to make several test passes with the 55 on the dragstrip.
After the Tri Five event we will head back south into TN to visit family for a week or so.
Than we head to Indy and the US Nationals. We will have our 55 on display there and will get to drive in the parade on the final day of that event.
After the US Nationals the plan is to head to CT. My high school is having a get together in early September and we might get the make that.
We hope to visit my son Ronny and his family while we are in CT. Another stop we always like to make is to Don Scinto’s Machine Shop in Stratford. We get to see and hear the latest in race stuff there.
The next event on our calendar will be the Dover Nostalgia Race. That is the event that started all this endless summer traveling. This will be the eighth race, hard to believe we have made this trip from Florida seven times not including the return trip for the first race rain out.
On the return trip to Florida we have plans to meet some other drag race friends and some family at Iron Horse NC
In NC we plan to spend several days riding motorcycles on and around the Blue Ridge.
Than the final scheduled plan is to take a train ride in the Georgia mountains before heading back home in Florida.
As Frank on Everybody loves Raymond would say “Holy Crap” ….Bet you’ll be glad to get back to your bed in Florida after all that ! …we trust you’ll be taking photos of all this ? Tom …CALL Me ! 910-997-4444 Dino
We made the Historic Downtown Bowling Green car show. Had to get a broken valve spring replaced on my friend’s 55 Wednesday before the show but we made it. Got lost tring to find the show and stopped a police officer. She gave us a lights flashing escort directly to the show entrance. pretty neat.
HEY
Very nice ,your trip is the envy of all us ODF’s!!!!
Please get in touch when you are in Ct. and wee will get together!!!!
‘V’
No doubt Tom,looks like ya had a good time, and good turnout, besides! The summer is going ‘fast’,and your making the ‘best’ of it!!! 😀 Pete.
Tom, when I was selling classic Chevy parts and the Classic Chevy Club Int. was in Fla. the would have these tri 5 nationals all over the country. They where great, then the club sold out to Ecklers and that ended these shows.
