Don’t get your fuel altered hopes up as far as the Tazmanian Devil goes it’s strictly a static display. It’s a push start car and he does not take it off the trailer anymore. On the BM/SP front I JUST GOT A TRACKING NUMBER FROM HOT RODS USA. My Moon fuel tank should be here 8/26/09. Alleluia!

Hey all,

Great news about the reunion! Just wanted to add my dad, Jerry Ingersoll, to the list of racers – he’s not too computer savvy, so he asked me to come here and add him to the list. He and Ray Hinkley (Katona, NY), raced a ”57 T-Bird (427 Ford/4-spd.) out of Peekskill, NY, at Dover back in the day (1969-1970); still has the car to this day, although sadly the engine took a dump at either Island or Atco about two years ago 🙁 Not pretty. The T-bird is going to be restored in the next year by myself, but he’ll be bringing his ’67 Mercury Comet nostalgia drag racer to the reunion event. I’ve included pics of the T-Bird and Comet to this post.

Wish I could attend the event – your website has been a great source for younger guys like myself who heard TONS of stories about Dover, but were too young to have ever experienced it (I was born in the early ’70s.) Best wishes from the Motor City! Keep the memory alive!

THE Bill Stiles Of Stiles Performance just called…. to say He’d like to bring Both The Pro stock Duster And Cuda to the Race ! Both cars Ran Dover and he thought it Would Be Neat ! now retired in York .Pa. Said he remembered doing the engines for Doc Berguss.
