        quote Billy Casey:

In later 72 I was running a modified VW … he crashed in front of me , when I hit the brakes hard at the top end I blew out both front Moroso tires and damaged both wheels . Crager was not making the single bolt patern any longer at that time … The duel patern Crager is the way I sold the car… Billy

Thanks for the info, Billy .I was just guessing from all the pics. that they were added in the UK as I’ve seen no pics. in the USA with them on . Your info now makes them very special to me that you had them on your car even if it was late on in your ownership.

Hey Billy, I was working at the end of the 1/4 in the time slip booth when that VW got airborne!! 😯 😯 If I remember correctly, that thing got hung up in the trees and they had a heck of a time getting it down. 😮 😮 . Big Harry and I thought that thing was gonna land on the Pumpkin. From where we were standing it looked that close !
Might have been the angle, but it scared both of us. Just glad nobody really got hurt. 😀 …………..Mikey

Just Heard From Peter….Check this out and notice something very interesting

“Always nice to hear from you. Sorry to say, nothing much has happened with the Pumpkin. It´s been pushed in and out of the workshop for the last months, without any progress. Ola, who ownes her, is having a hard time desiding what to do. He says the Pumpkin has top priority, but since he´s now starting up a new home for mentaly sick people ( that´s what he´s doing for a living ), I Know Pumpkin´s gonna end up second place. That is understandable, but still a pitty. We where all hoping to get her finished in good time for the Dover Reunion in september and bringing her over. I belive time is running out to get it all done. Please don´t give up on us, I will do my best to get things going again.

                                    Did you catch THAT:

The Swedish guys build some beautifully engineered cars, always have done, and it’s always been a pleasure to see them run when they would come over to the UK.

No news here in the UK either. I think the progress is in ‘fits and starts’ as the owner has other projects he is involved with.
Oh, and thanks for the T shirts which arrived safely here today. Great to see the Pumpkin on the front!

                                                                Hi guys!

Really nice of you to keep interrest in this thread. I have been off the forum for a while, but havn´t lost touch. Sorry to say, nothing have happened to the Pumpkin. It´s been in and out of Ola´s workshop without any progress. Currently it is on display at Ola´s “museum”. Everythime I talk to him he says we´ll soon start working on her, but nothing ever seems to be done. I would never admit to loose faith in the project, but sometimes I hope for a new owner to get her back on the strip. If it was possible to raise the money, I would do so myself, not that Ola ever mentioned selling her. There is a long and cold winter coming up, so lets hope for the best. By the way… Congratulation to a great reunion, once again. Sorry to missed out.

                                                                All the best // Peter
