I’ll 2nd that VB 😀 😀 😀 I had a FANTASTICweekend. 6 runs all without major incident, didn’t go fast but I have never driven that car and its nothing like when I drove my Willys back in the 70’s when I was 20 something 🙄 🙄 🙄 Plus I was the fastest 1 armed guy there 😆 😆 😆 😆

        Pat

Pat, sorry I missed you and Mike all day on Saturday. Great to see you get some passes in with the MG. That car is COOL. Maybe next year we can line ’em up for some fun. I had a great outing on Saturday winning the ECG race. The coolest part is a car that used to run at Dover won the class.

                Pat,
Great job with the car…I know you had a good light against Paul with the Willys! When he came up on you that had to sound CRAZY!! Anytime you want to go testing at the Valley let me know if you need help or a tow.

Thanks all my ODF brothers and V now I know why I was as slow as I was 😆 😆 😆 But seriously it was an awesome experience, having the car there, driving, my makeshift pit crew JR Bard (and his quad), father Dave Bard, Dan Hannaburgh, Frank Gaizo (Aero Locksmith Nova) and especially Brother Mike who was like a mother hen 😛 I couldn’t do it without him. My friends who came up to see me race and the Dover crew that where alway encouraging. Smitty you made things run smooth and Dino you need to lighten up on the caffene 😆 I know this one will go down in MY record book.

                    Thanks Pat

                        Hey Guys, Brother Bobby here.
As I read thru all the posts and photos about this past weekend, I could hear Billy commenting on the photos and posts. You all know that being there with you, was one of his last wishes.
Donna wanted to make sure Billy’s helmet would be there and channeled it thru Donny Kauer (keeper of the Grail). I had such an empty feeling that I could not make it.
But as fate would have it, right after getting off the phone with Donny last Friday, Dino calls and he stopped by and we worked in my studio (another place that Billy loved) tweaking up some audio cuts that he would be using for the weekend. I finally felt that I would be there in spirit and on CD.
Saw the pic of Super Pumpkin VII – looked great (even though it is a Chrysler product, as Billy said) lol . Thanks so much John for all your labours and dedication.
                        Fondest Regards to all,
                        Bobby

Didn’t leave the track till everything was done and talking with the family about 6:00 pm. Hated to leave. Headed north on Rt 22 to 203. Missed a turn and the GPS sent us down a weight limited road much lower than our weight but made it. By now the rain was getting pretty heavy. finally found the turnpike but the GPS sent us north again. Got off the turnpike north of Albany and asked the turnpike attendant how to get to I 81. She sent us farther north. Got on I 88, stopped at a rest area and spent the night.
                            Anyone want a GPS cheap?
Monday morning after looking at a good old map we headed south. Drove all day and made it to VA and spend last night.
We had a great time at the track, got to meet some of the people we only chat with on the Dover site. What a great country to be able to do this kind of thing.

Even though it was a bit ‘hectic’ in the V Bob and Paul B. stables at times (especially trying to hear the ‘pa’ system announcements) it was “GREAT” for all that stopped by of all the ODF members I either knew,or first time, met in person, and got to chat with them a bit, that ‘made my day; a big THANKS guys (and Erin D.also!) ! Dino,it was obvious the ‘pressure’ was on you trying to iron out the wrinkles, but in the end,it turned out O.K. Dover ‘3’ was just fine for me!

Cakes…I’m noted for being a ‘blur’ …up to the tower …..check the tech lanes…out to the main gate, check in with the car club, see how Linda’s doing at the Goodie Booth,,stop by as many as possible to say Hi then ‘gotta go ….. enjoy it but kinda pooped now.

Mikey and I were at Dino’s this afternoon when a 5.8 earthquake was supposed to have been felt from New York and Long Island to Georgia and out in the Detroit area. We didn’t feel it…

                                            Anybody…???

                                            😐

We stopped in Mayberry NC. This afternoon we were parked in Mayberry and we felt the quake here. Mary said look at the rocker it was rocking on it’s own. She ask what do you think is causing that and I said earthquate. After spending three years in CA, we are familiar with earthquakes.
