Yup felt it at the Albany VA between 1 and 2 o’clock about 60 seconds worth. Crossed earth quakes off the bucket list 😆 😆 😆

I just wanted to publicly thank Billy Masiello(sp)for his help at the track. 😀 As some of you may know, Saturday was not a good day for me. I had a problem with the fuel pump shutting off, but not blowing the fuse. 😕 The car quit at the entrance to staging, Billy saw me there and said he’d be right back to tow me to the trailer. I thought i had it fixed after by-passing an in-line breaker, it ran good, so back to staging. It quit again just as I was heading for the burn-out area. Billy to the rescue again!! That was above and beyond the “call of duty”. 😮 That is a true friend and O.D.F. Brother. Thank you, Billy, I owe you big time. You were one of the few people who took the time to see if they could help. Again, thanks! ………….Mikey 😆
P.S. My dark cloud followed me back to Florida too. 👿 I had just gotten on the Fla. Turnpike, 20 minutes from home, and the truck popped a head gasket. 😥 Had to have the whole thing towed to my house. Oh well, it could have crapped out in Carolina or Georgia. 😯
Hey,Bernie Golick, where were you hiding both Saturday and Sunday? I didn’t have that much ‘idle’ time helping out V Bob with Mike.I thought for sure I’d see you in the ‘staging’ lanes,as we waited pretty long to run every time.I made a ‘quick’ tour around the “Ford” camps, having no luck finding you either.Oh well, there’s always next year.Sorry I miss ya……Pete.
Mikey,I really feel bad for you,and I think that goes for all of us ODF’s.That ‘BLACK CLOUD” followed you from the “Valley” all the way home! Sorry I couldn’t offer you any help,I was pretty tied up with V Bob,but at least we got to talk for just a few minutes.Hopefully those ‘gremlins’ are gone for good, and ‘luck’ finds it’s way to you! Glad to hear you made it home safely.
Mickie sorry about the bad luck you had . Wish I could have helped more but I was so busy with my own stuff . You are so right about all of us being Dover brother’s and sister’s .There is more to racing than just racing . Even though many of us never knew each other when we raced at Dover we all still share that commom bond . Next years race will even be better so hang in there and get that car fixed.
……. Bernie Golick was there ❓ 😕 …. I would have liked to talk to him 😀 got some questions about Dobbys Ferry Ford 😯 😀 …….
Mater you didn’t speak to anybody 😆 😆 😆 😆 I was there all weekend and only caught a glimps of you 🙄 🙄 🙄 🙄 . You are going to hafta come up here or at the very least(and I mean very) show up at Big Als I got sumthin for ya.
Pat
Hey Pat,I was lucky to talk to Mater for a few minutes at the V Bob and Paul B. camp.I felt bad for him, just like last Dover 2 meet with rear end, driveshaft ‘wows’.This Dover 3 meet,he had trans. input bearing problems. No more messing around with these ‘4’ speeds, next year an ‘automatic’ will take it’s place he said.Another ‘die-hard’ drag racer!
After riding the motorcycle in the mountains of NC and visiting Mayberry we headed south again. We saw two accidents in our travel back. Last night as we got on I 75 south of Atlanta we saw lines of traffic due to an accident. So we stopped at the first exit and spent the night to avoid the traffic.

I survived Hurricane Andrew, David, Wilma and Hugo when I lived in Miami… Irene won’t scare me much. Besides, I’m half way inland from the N.C. coast.

Mater, once again it was nice talking to ya for a few minutes.By the sounds of it,you must have worn the souls off your shoes! Wow,you really made the ‘tour’ at the Valley! Even though you were disappointed with mechanical problems, you made the best of it,in a bad situation, not letting it get you down;good for you! Hey,it must be ‘harvest’ time for you in your ‘great’ looking garden, right? In the meantime be safe with ‘Irene’ on the way!
