I lived in Yonkers from 1947 ( when I was born…) until 1971 and I never saw snow any sooner than the second week of December and even then just a light coat of it that soon turned to slush…

Power STILL out in Fort Montgomery, NY. They are talking Wed. to restore. Got my ge…ge…generation, sorry generator, keeping the boiler on. Time for the big one with main panel disconnect. This shit is crazy lately!!

I’ve got a 5550 that runs my whole house, including the a/c. I just need to turn the hot water heater off until I really need it or the generator struggles a little bit. I should really have gotten a 6500, or 7000 watt, but they were out, all they had were the 5500s. That was in 2004, when all those damn hurricanes came through Florida. I’ve used it several dozen times since then, GREAT INVESTMENT!! Good luck. …………….Mikey 😆

V-Bob reporting in from Watertown as he charges cell phone in his Pick-Up. Almost a foot of heavy wet snow there.
NO POWER through out region. Says ‘could be days to restore’. One end of his street blocked by downed trees. Area Towns all over central Conn. all out of power. NO gas -stations closed .He checked on Frank.He’s set for a few days …loaded up on grinders and beer Sat. V-Bob using race car generator to power part of his house and was smart to have a wood stove. Kauer has major tree damage to his house. Still getting reports in as guys have cell phone access.Unreal ! Just checked with Patina ….he’s got power but in town ,No .Has a bunch of trees down on his property though. Across the river ,in Kingston ,Brian Ok .But south of Him..Hammered , Poughkeepsie out of Power.

I’ve got power in Hyde Park, it helps to have a CHG&E lineman living next door 😉 HUGE pile of downed tree limbs in my back yard.

A O.K. HERE MY POWER WAS ON ALL WEEKEND AND STILL ON NOW . A TREE BRANCH SPLIT LANDED ACROSS THE TOP OF THE ROOF OF MY VAN PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY. LUCKILY MY NEIGHBOR IS A TREE GUY CAME OVER YESTERDAY MORNING WITH A SMALL CHAINSAW AND WE CUT IT ALL UP AND THREW IT IN THE STREET FOR NOW SO NO MAJOR DAMAGE TO MY VEHICLE WHEW 😮 THAT WAS TOOO CLOSE. GETTING READY FOR BRISTOL C.S.R.A. FALL FINAL SWAP MEET THERE THIS SUNDAY SUPPOSED TO GET INTO THE LOW 60S BY THEN. STAFFORD SPRINGS WAS CALLED OFF FOR THIS PAST SUNDAY THERE WAS GOING TO BE A M/C SWAP MEET THERE I WANTED TO ATTEND . BUT MOTHER NATURE SAID NO NO NO SON STAY HOME BOY . GLAD I DID ! 😀 FASTLANE 😎

Roxrec (In Roxbury Ct.) checked in late yesterday…first time his phone was back working….Whole area still no power …tons of trees down on all the wires …Only center of downtown Danbury had elec.

Got back yesterday here in upstate N.Y. Was stuck for 2 days (Sat & Sun.) on the Rhinebeck-Milan area,with a little over 1 foot of snow.Wish I had my Equinox,instead of my Ranger 2wd that i took down.Helped my hunting buddies,and there families,clearing tree branches,and hooking up generators for them.Monday,two of them had power back on.Get this! Right across the Hudson River from Rhinebeck (Brain M’s territory), they had maybe 3 to 4 inches! Down in Esopus (about a 10 minute ride for Brian),another friend showed me on his cell phone 1 1/2 feet of snow on his outside picnic table! CRAZY…or what???? I was happy to see my lawn ‘green’ when I got home!
