I will get in it for pictures for the cover of drag racer mag. 😆 😆 😆
You have to have a gooooood sense of humor.

Pat had the same problem before with chevy blocks you have to put sealer around the studs where they go into the block. For some reason it won’t leak with the bolts but it will with the studs If you are careful you can do them one at a time with out taking off the head and ruining the head gasket.
Ok ….Dover Ingenuity guys….Understand Pats ‘controls’ dilema….? Think about THe solution! He Should Drive ! HEY – THERE is AN ANSWER ….Old Skool Engineering ….We can Do this ! ask him for the particulars if need be. the filf WAS a funny typo .
……………..Two quick Notes While I got Ya…Will Be at Shop All day Sunday ‘at the Drawing Board’ . Will be available for any phone calls to be fielded AND .lets keep this “Chat’ to a Chat, and not post items in it, that belong in a specific heading -IN that heading or topic: ie., ‘Current Projects’ ‘General Discussion’ ‘ Speed Shops’ ,etc. ….all those headings are created to Sort and make topics organized & easy to find…If it’s stuck in this Rambling Chat …It could be solid info ,lost in the social thread .
Possible reason for studs leaking is, the threaded holes in the block are UNC-2B and the head bolts are UNC-2A. A is for male threads and B for female threads. The class 2 is the tolerance allowed to insure proper fit. Aftermarket studs are UNCJ threads. UNCJ threads are class 3 and also a radiused root. This mismatch is probably the cause for the leakage. It is always good to seal threads on headbolts or studs that go into the water jackets.

Pat, I don’t understand your dilemma. If you have a trans brake, the button should be on the steering wheel, yes? If you have line- loc for burnouts, put that button next to the brake button, only closer to the center than the brake button, and a different color. If you have an air shift, you go through the water, stop, then do your burnout. Is it that once you’re belted in you can’t reach the shifter? If it is set to shift at a certain RPM, just stay under that RPM and do a longer 1st gear burnout. Jeez, Pat, you can do this!! Give it a shot. ………………..Mikey 😮 😯 😆
Hopefully, I will get to the track this Friday with my Willy’s, should have some rear shocks any day now. Already fixed the trans brake solenoid, so that’s out of the way. I’m going to experiment with the line-loc button and the trans brake button to see if I can duplicate Pats dilemma. I can work all my switches with my right hand except the trans brake, but I can just move the switch to the right side of the steering wheel. I’m not using my air shift, but I will make one or two slow 1st gear burnouts to see how the tires warm up. Hope any info that I come up with will help. ……………..Mikey 😆
maybe try a on-off-on
spring switch
momentry on UP*
center OFF
monentry on DOWN*
switch comes to center when released,
like the switch for the electric
snow plow angle’n control,
center terminal is 12vdc +
top, bottom terminals is for application
if both functions are powered by 12vdc +
these also come in rocker switch design from cole-hersey
just fyi
Bobby S.
* or on when the switch is positioned
for side way movement
