Hey “K” I have a mission for you. Look up a guy named Fred Strickland, 1561 Wilkinson Dr. Plant City. Fla. He has a 55/56 T bird that came from LI and I may have owned and I am trying to contact the guy to find out if it is. He has a shop or museum somewhere in or around plant city.

I know the Russo-Santo Willys sedan, was restored by Jack and John Olcott, and just sold, not too long ago. The engine wasn’t ‘period’ correct, I
believe it was a ‘crate’ 572 big block (?). Any event, watching this video, I gotta order one of these ‘Gassers’ DVD! And may I say, THANK YOU for sharing!!! :ugeek: ๐Ÿ˜ฏ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜€ Pete.

Maybe we could talk Jim Amos into consolidating all that he must have on the Dover Drag Strip into a special edition and have Dino do the voice over. He might do it if he thinks it will sell…

I’m really ‘impressed’ with the South East Gassers! I’ve watched them run now,for a few years already, on You Tube; boy have they grown in popularity!!! “STRICT” 1967 rule book regulations, and they ‘stick to there guns’! No 4 link rears, no electronics, mostly 4 speed trans.period correct engines, fuel systems, bodies, ect. You got to be on your game! You ‘snooze’, you ‘loose’! Seat of the pants like the ‘ole’ days, setting up your race car the best you can,for different race tracks! There a ‘handfull’ to handle, watching them go down the 1/8th, twisting and turning, and holding on! lol.I think the only downfall is finding period correct cars, parts, ect. and not cheap to build and maintain. But still ‘a lot of fun’ and entertainment for us ‘ole’ farts to relive! lol….Pete.
