Added a couple of new fiberglass parts to the 55 today. Not complete but still working on the installation of the new rear bumper and dashboard.

Dino…..Maybe out of trouble but not off the streets, had to travel about 200 miles to get parts yesterday.

Got the two rear side windows (GE Lexan Marguard material) trimmed and set in place. Worked on the engine a little also. Got the alternator mounted and than made a bracket to hold the tension on the belt.

Got the front drive distributer and installed it on the engine.
Tomatohead….Think I could go the Ford only races now that the distributor is on the front of the engine? 😆

Started to fit the short fendered fiberglass front end on the car. 🙄 We decided to go with the fiberglass front end to get away from the bodywork but here we go again, need to add to the fenders to make them fit and fill in the gap between the door and fender. Don’t have the fiberglass doors yet but think they will be close to the steel doors in size.

Ah-so….Stop By early on your way up….We”ll do the Grill up with Air brush…You gonna cut off the Bumper? Vintage style?

Looks like the bumper will need to stay. The supports I installed going to the front needed to be located on the inside of the front bumper.
How can the engine get air if the grill is air brushed?

Tom have Dino air brush some vents on it while he does the grille. 😆 😆 😆 That nose looks like a “pro-mod” front end, so does the rest of the car. Was that the original builders intention.

Ok cut it out and mount a ‘repro’ 55 grill. We can do the headlights though.

Pat…When we ordered the front clip it was the OEM we ordered. We found out the OEM was changed to the aero dynamic frontal area design. 😮 They do make a Pro Mod version and it is even farther away from the original design than this one.
We did start out to making a look a like of the old car but things have been updated and some that were not expected.
The progress went something like a clone, to a look a like and now to a look something like the old car.
Still have your list, just haven’t got to finish researching the numbers.
