….. next some checker springs were installed with an int an exh valve to check valve clearance … 😀

…..alright after the valve clearance check 😀 it was time to machine the guides and spring seats for seals and Bigger Springs 😀 , you can see the differance in the guide tops were not machined down enough and the seal came off and hammered the top of the giude ,deffintly a NO NO 😡 😕 ,so they were fixed and the seats were opened up 😀 …..

…….. after that the intake valves were up graded to Manley stainless steel swirl polished valves 😀 over the stock intakes to make a nice matching set of valves 😀 , valve spring hieght was checked and springs installed with new valve stem seals and new 10 degree locks ❗ 😀 ……

…….now with the heads ready to bolt on ,I had “RUDY” 😀 help me with the checking and filing of piston ring end gaps 😀 , ……….. who says you cant teach and “OL DOG new TRICKS ❗ 😆 😀 …………

Heres some pics of the rod bolt stretch gauge we used to torque the rods bolts 😀 ….

…..on and on, so on goes the heads ❗ 😀 ,since we are done torqueing the rods , Fel-Pro heads gaskets are dropped on the cyl dowels for alinement ,and the heads next and the “OL’ DOG” drops the heads bolts in next 😀

…… so now with the heads on we torqued them up real nice and on to the next,set of “nuts” to be torqued 😆 :D, …….. after we finished with the heads the sunshine came out and “RUDY” thanked the “SUN GODS” 😀
