Haven’t heard from Tom B. or Mikey lately.What’s up guys? Been running your cars at the track lately,or chillin’ for awhile? 😕 Just curious.

Hey, Pete. I’ve just been working on some maintenance things, adjusting the valves, backing the timing off, checking for “full”throttle, which I didn’t have, just little stuff. 😀 I’m going to drop the upper 4 link bars down 1 hole, need to try to get the car to hook better, might work, might not. 😕 Also working on both doors to see if I can get the “droop” to go away. 👿 Going to give the car a good cleaning after all the work is done, then get back to the track. 😉 Oh, I pre-registered for a local car show, proceeds go to a school for classroom things, and some playground toys, balls, things like that. Should be fun. 🙄 Prizes to be awarded for different categories of cars and motorcycles, 50/50, and door prizes. Well, back to work. 😎 …………………Mikey 😆 😆

P.S. Tom has been working on the rear-end gears in the ’55. He’s putting in a smaller gear, 3.70s I think. I need to think about either a taller gear for mine, or a shorter tire, maybe a 30 tall instead of my 32s. 😆

Hey Mikey,thank you for the response and updates! Looks like both you and Tom are right on track,plus working on the usual ‘gremlins’ to work out on your hot rods.Your very lucky almost year round with the weather down there.We’re wrapping up the drag racing season up this neck of the woods, the ‘Valley’ Nostalgia Drags on the 30th is the final for 2012 for me. Leaves are starting to change pretty quick and dropping already here in upstate N.Y. (a very ‘dry’ summer).My rake starting to get a workout! Just finished a posting under the “New ride” than came over here to see Mikey got us updated here already. We still have several things to get done before going back to the track but we are getting pumped up again.

OK. Got some pictures of the engine, and my helper. As some of you know, Tree and I are Foster Parents, and have been for 12 years. We have 3 kids of our born to us, and 2 adopted children, now 18 and 11, they are birth sisters. Cassie was 7, and Tiffany was 14 months when we got them. My helper, is a 2 year old foster child(2 in May, same day as Cass), and we’ve had her since she was 12 days old. We hope to adopt her too. She likes to help Dad do anything, but especially work on what she calls my “vroom vroom”. ………………..Mikey 😆

Awesome Mikey 😀 ..Both my daughters are adopted from almost birth..Same thing…Not your blood but your heart and very special………They are 31 and 27 and are now providing me with grandchildren 😎
