Bob,it’s a wonder (knowing ‘you’) you didn’t crank it up,and make a ‘quick’ tour through the neighborhood! 😮 😆 , and Pat D.,I remember racing in a tee shirt and burmuda shorts, back in the day in the gasser class! Three point roll bar, any safety helmet, and of course, an ‘air’ craft seat belt. Fear and safety, were the last things in our mind back then; just banging gears, and most of all, “SPEED”!!! 😉 😛 Pete.
HEY
Pete, Sure did fire her up!
Warmed her up on the floor jack!
Would have gone down the road but all kinds of winter sand and dirt around!

passed thru the valley today to do a bit of trout fishin’ in the neighborhood ….. actually looked like they was cleaning up a few areas !!! …
How did Dominick do at Las Vegas last week…?
Made it to the 2nd round.
Pat
He seems to do well at Las Vegas…
Maso I talked to Roger about this and his car is not set up to race anymore, it has all the original stuff in it, has no radiator in it and can’t pass tech. It was restored to display. The MG was redone so we could race it, we have late model stuff in it and passes tech. We did get that picture recreated at the 1st Dover Nostalgia Drags at Island. Now that would make a good T-shirt for the 8th. I thing Tomato took this picture.
Pat
Hey “Bossman” you still around? I passed by your house and your car is there, so where you been.
Pat
Yeah well…
It’s too bad that they won’t let us make passes with the old cars anymore. If we could do that again, it would be very cool to line up the same cars that faced each other historically. Think of it… Don Garlits has John Fico’s “Road Knight” K-88 rail with the cross ram 413 in Ocala and matching that with Schlegal’s Hellzapoppin’ would be just cool if we could do it. Imagine the restored Hugh Tucker roadster rematching the straight eight Buick rail of Pete Shaddinger again like they did at Indy in ’63… That would make “Nostalgia” events even better to attend… I mean… by playing up to the historic aspect of things that way. Just a thought that won’t go anywhere.
Maybe they could just set these rival cars up together and have them drive slowly down track with announcers commenting about it…
HEY
I wish they would let you use live ammo at battle reenactments too!
