Hey Guys,
Just got back from visiting with Billy ——— Okay, Plan B — The surgeon wanted all external plumbing out today but another doctor,the one that figured our what the infection was, said no way – not until the lung is back to full capacity. So Billy told the doctors to get their act together or else he’s walking. They came back in unanimous agreement that they should wait a bit longer — plus this time they took the time to draw some diagrams and pictures. Billy now accepts the decision of the Pit Crew and is willing to wait it out until the repairs are correct and pre-tested before heading back out on to the track.

He was happy to see sister Mary (a surprise) and me with some home cooking, though he could only take token bites at this time. The hospital put together a cool little chocolate cake with fresh strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. Also Donna stopped by to say hello to us.

I just called Billy and read all your greetings and good wishes. He sincerely thanks everyone. “It means a lot. It really does”. I guess that says it all,
