Ok Guys, Mike Leroux and his family in their travels took a swing by the old
Dover Drag Strip site and took a few pictures. Apparently there was no sign
of activity or any construction on the property. Mike asked me to post the
pictures for him. Happy to do this for him!

I forgot to ask? To the Dover guys who raced there cars this year,at the ‘Valley’!
How did you like the ‘newly’ repaved, track surface? Was it a lot better?….Pete.

I don’t know Pete, the MG always hooked up good. I foot brake it and only come out at 2500 RPM. It’s a little different with a clutch or trans brake.

I’ll Check with some “locals” I know about what the Olivett College Is planning and when construction Begins..You’re right ..looks like a Ghost Town of a “Ghost Track”. The ‘millennials’ don’t even know it existed.

THANKS Dino! Yeah, what’s missing on the ‘ole’ Dover grounds, is ‘headstones’,
as it portrays that ‘Ghostly’ look!… The ‘track’ was a ‘gift’ to us all,
back in the day,and never will be forgotten !!!….Pete.

HEY MIKE! Good to hear from ya! Well, just as it was looking towards ‘Spring’ up here, BINGO!
I woke up to 3″ of snow,so far,and 2″ more, still coming yet; then tomorrow,another 3″ to 5″ on
it’s way! This mixed with sleet,just what I didn’t order! But hey,we can handle it! All in all,
a ‘mild’ winter,I’ve had,up here,this year!
‘PATIENCE’ is the word! Like you, and the rest of us northern ODF’s , ‘countdown’ now, till April
when the ‘toys’ will soon come outa hibernation, and be lighting up some tires,once again!….Pete.

Hi Pete , sorry to hear your getting all that snow , all I got was freezing rain , I tried to get the newspaper this morning out by the road but I didn’t make 1/3 of the way before I had to turn back cause the driveway was and is all ice covered , the elevation at my house is 1300 feet above sea level , I talked to 2 people this morning on the phone that live at a lower elevation and they don’t have ice , at 3 pm it’s supposed to get to 36 degrees here so maybe it will start melting then ,,, Hi Sue ,,, mike ,,,

No Pat,don’t ring a bell ??? I know it sez ‘Cali’ Bros. below the photo. however, I
remember there’s was a B/G correct? I’m thinking Frank M. might have a clue, as he
ran an Anglia also,and may remember it? Whoever built it, did a beautiful job!!!

Mike, round ‘2’ coming up! Freezing rain,and ice for now, later this afternoon into
tonight, 6″ to 8″ inches of snow to follow! At present,my walkway and driveway are an ice
skating rink! I gotta get the ‘cleats’ out,in order to get my mail box today!
