Well I found out today that Mikey’s “Papa’s Toy” was sold and headed to a new home.
Theresa, Mikey’s wife, said that the new owner loves the Willys as much as Mikey did!
Sad but understandable. Life goes on! God bless the McDermott family and R.I.P. Mikey,
my brother….
Here’s a guy I miss seeing and talking to…’Mikey’! I remember him way back even driving a
‘stock’ car, down at Orange County Speedway, in Middletown, N.Y. He was a highly skilled
mechanic,to say the least, and he and his wife ‘loved’ and took care of many children.
He gave one hell of a battle to his ‘demon’, and sadly lost the battle
I’m glad his Willys went to a ‘good’ home; and Mikey, we miss ya ya ‘big. time!!!!…Pete.
I gotta e mail from ‘Fuzzy’ Munson, he said he’s just starting to get some flower sprouts
starting to pop outa the ground, in Ct. That’s the kinda news, I like to hear! I’m still
looking at snow covered ground, up my way,and this helps the situation with ‘cabin fever’!

Looks like I spoke too soon, there is a trace of snow falling right now. We are expecting rain though so I can only hope. Tomorrow I get electric garage door openers in the t3 bldgs. I have. It’s getting too hard to pick these things up.

to open or close it, or, how’s about one of those ‘clappers’ they advertise,with

First of all Pat, please accept my sincere ‘apology for what I wrote. No doubt, my brain
was in my butt, never realizing how ‘offensive’ and ‘disrespect’ this was to you, and me,
really a ‘dumb jerk’, and ‘stupid’ thing to write! I only hope,as a friend, you’ll accept
this apology, from a blundering “IDIOT”…..Pete.
THANK YOU PAT!!! Well “APPRECIATED”, believe me!.Me being an “IDOT”, it makes me
feel a lot better, with your forgiveness, and realize what a ‘DUMB’ JERK I was!!!!
So for now,may we turn the page, and for me, ‘get back on track’ and ‘think’, before I act!!!

Pat, your right! However,it’s only winters I have too much time on my hands. Spring to Fall,
I have all to do with house maintenance,and the ‘honey-do’ yard work. Besides,I don’t have a
garage. Getting under a car anymore, is past tense. I still get my hands dirty a bit,working
on my good friend Bill’s, ’36’ Ford coupe,standing up only, which I still enjoy ‘tinkering’
with,once in a while,to keep my ole ‘hot rod’ spirit! The ‘Dover Drags’ makes it stronger!!!
Meanwhile….HEY! Anybody got any ‘updates’ on restorations to Johnnie Goll’s ‘Little Hoodlum’
D/G Willys sedan, or Dickie Doyle’s ‘original’ Blown Hearse, it’s been a while,and as usual,
I’m curious,and hope to see them both, at the Dover Drags, this year!!!….Pete.
