Are you serious Bob? ’50’ years already? Seems that would be for the ’roundy-round’ track,before the drag track was built at Lebanon Valley,maybe I’m wrong? I know it was a small air craft field,along with a ‘diner’ close to the road on rte. 20 before Howie bought it and turned it into a race track.Any ‘ole’ timers know for sure what came first? 🙄

Thanks for the history lesson of the ‘Valley’.I do remember those Christmas trees being on the outer edges on both lanes.I remember one time around 66-67 (?) there was a funny car match race going on.During there ‘burn-out’,they blew those lights over! The Valley’s staff quickly ‘jury rigged’ hold downs to keep them steadfast,and it worked! The lesson,’times were a changing’ with power and speed in drag racing cars! Hold on to your hats! 😮 😀

🙁 🙁 🙁 Hey…just a “note”…Bob “Dawg” Gaudreau…passed away today…the “Dawg” became a very long Ford customer of mine after the conclusion of his racing deal (whoda’ “thunk” dat’???!!!***)…showed me the “value” ($) of having slick “Best Appearing” style race cars when seeking/acquiring sponsorships/marketing partners…he had some awesome stuff…surely was a legendary “storied” personality…always good to me/family…a real “hoss”… fast racer…in his time & place…God speed… 🙁 🙁 🙁 Drake & family
