Heard a story yesterday at the NHRA National Open in Atco NJ. A man with miltary ID was denied any discount on admission. Reason being it was a NHRA event. The girl explained to come back ANYTIME and Atco will give a military discount on any of their events. WTF NHRA?? 😯
Smitty
‘Smitty’, I agree with you 100%!!! Somehow N.H.R.A gotta learn, ‘you don’t bite the hand that feeds you’! Is it really that ‘costly’ for
this ‘monoplized’ organization, to refuse a ‘slight’ admission discount, to those who have served either past or present, in the military?
COME ON!!!! Right now they play the role of Ebenezer ‘Scoooge’,and hope someday they’ll wake up and realize ‘kindness’ overpowers
‘GREED’!!! Thanks Smitty for exposing the real N.H.R.A. domination!
😥 Thank you V-Man and God Bless………….
Bob, this really meant a lot to me also, I can’t THANK YOU enough for your ‘kindness’, and ‘thoughtfulness’. In my heart, Joe’s smiling face
will always be there! I join Don….BLESS YOU BOB!!!
Those Bronze statues were cast in Beacon or Peekskill but I think Beacon. I heard they were being shipped out and went to see them as they were outside, I say them through the fence.

Ferrucio Lamborghini
The Big Bang of Italian supercars dates to 1962, when Enzo Ferrari met with a disgruntled customer, an Italian tractor magnate who kept burning out clutches in his Ferrari. Many years later, Ferruccio Lamborghini would describe the meeting this way: “Ferrari, your cars are rubbish!’ I complained. Il Commendatore was furious. “Lamborghini, you may be able to drive a tractor but you will never be able to handle a Ferrari properly.’ This was the point when I finally decided to make a perfect car.” Having built his tractor business from scratch, Lamborghini did the same with his sports car business, choosing his zodiac symbol — a snorting bull — as the company’s logo. The company met with instant acclaim when it revealed its first model, the 350 GT, in 1963, and under Lamborghini’s watch would go on to build the Miura, one of the most beautiful machines ever to grace a road. Financial troubles and the oil crisis forced Lamborghini to sell his entire stake by 1974; he retired to a central Italian estate, where he died in 1993. Lamborghini remained proud of his firm in retirement — demonstrating its products when 60 Minutes came calling in 1979: http://youtu.be/qnvJA9Xtd9I

Dino! You battening down the hatches??? Seriously, how bad is your area getting hit by the severe weather? 🙄 Pete.
Forecast for Rhinebeck on Sat. and Sun. 40% chance of showers in the afternoon. Not that bad! The only ‘ bummer’ I face when there is rain, is the parking areas. Hopefully, taking it ‘easy’ when pulling out, you won’t bog down in the grass and mud where you parked! 😡 🙄
