Just a reminder to an ‘ole’ friend of ours that we lost back on June 13th, 2009. KEVIN DUNN. Sadly ‘missed’! One things for sure, his Willys P/U is safe and secured in the “Garlit’s Museum”, proudly now on display! I have no doubt he’ll be looking down on us again this year,at the ‘Dover’ Event,at the ‘Valley’! 😉 Pete.

Went to the Valley yesterday, it was a pretty cold and windy day. Saw Frank standing at the fence as I was sitting in the stands all day. It’s just not the same when you can’t get around. There was a lot of race cars there not as many spectators. But as they say a bad day of drag racing is better than a good day at work, I think they say that anyway 😆

I was reading the latest ‘Hot Rod’ magazine,and in it is an article on ‘Big Daddy’ Don Garlits’ new dragster,the SR 37. You’ll hear no ‘crackle’ out of this one! Don is going ‘green’! It’s powered by a 2000 h.p. ‘electric’ battery setup! Don’s goal is to hit over 200 mph in the quarter with it. This ‘ole’ ‘diehard’ drag racer keeps going, and going, and going!!! 🙄 🙄 🙄 😀

Drove up Rt 22 in Dover NY to day and saw this new gas station on the sit of the old dinner as you made the turn up the road towards Dover Drag Strip.

WoW, talk about strange things, I got the fixator device that was pinned to my bone off today and was put in a walking boot. That feels a lot better and I can get pants over it but now I’m having trouble walking 🙄 It’s like I can’t step on my foot or forgot how to walk, strange. Well the foot is healing fine now I just have to take it easy and not twist or jar it until the bone heals completely about 12 weeks.
