Hey!! 5 and a wake up!!
HEY
Doing P M on the Powerglide in the Vega today!
What is a good fluid for the glide????
‘V’
V…..Guy I get my trans parts from said the best is synthic Dextron. Used it for a short time but went back to the F type fluid due to the price and saw no difference.
Both Mary’s S/G roadster and my S/C dragster used type F for years without problems. Now use type F in the 55 and the Mustang. Use it in the glide and the turbo 400 transmissions.
HEY
Thanks Tom!!!!
Any special brand????
HAPPY TRAILS!!!

Type F specs should all be the same. I got it from Auto Zone to Walmart.
Tom,
I remember some shops that did tranny’s for us wanted type F because of the additives in it, story was early ford tranny’s had loose clearances in them and the type F with the graphite like additive was to make them shift as per specs dextron in fords would slip. In ‘glides and turbo 350 it make for a tighter / harder shift some shops use F today. Old tales was the B&M trick shift was a glorified type F. A GM dealership us to use type F in cars they were blowing out the door at a cheap price and the trans was starting to slip.
See ya next weekend.
