It is just possible that the lesser activity on here is due to the fact that we can read the posts on our e-mail without going on the Dover site. I know it is for me, I’m getting very lazy I guess.

Pat, you’ve got a ‘good’ point, whether to like it, or not? Seeing it appear on
e mail, it reminds me of my phone recorder, leaving a message, in case I’m not

Pat, you’re right on point. I feel the same way. It’s a lot easier to read posts off
your email then go through all that crap logging in etc. We just need to go to the forum
for pictures. This new forum put a real damper on the activity for sure? But like Pete said,
“It is what it is”! 🙂

^^^^^ … yup… i started reading off my email too … but… sometimes a post will be made here and it doesn’t show up on my emails … don’t matter as i check in here everyday anyway …

X108 is the Wilko Bros. Corvette, they have been around forever. The family would drive their 53 Ford with a blown Buick to the track and race it, after a while it became a full fledged race car. They are some sharp racers.

FACT is If You go to your Profile settings you can Opt Out of E-mails… “THIS NEW FORUM”-? easy to say’ put a damper’ when  you forget a few things…Like how the old software from 2008 just about imploded by not being compatible with current tech advances that change about every 6 months…the big money I spent to BUY all the new programs , private server & pay someone Hours and days and weeks to rebuild the whole thing from scratch.We informed you all how -why we did this in numerous posts.The Real Problem is Facebook-Instagram & twitter (Social Media) that make it too easy for lazy guys    to post … But its drawback is not being able to retain & have access to thousands of posts & photos complied in a forum format. Make a post and everything previous go down off your screen….. or take the time (which usually doesn’t happen) to search for stuff .  Our Search Feature is the best tool to find Every thing here. Sure I have Facebook for Facebook guys…have 8 pages for various endeavors…. the Dover page is just one. You all forget …Social media… even smart phones DIDN’T exist when we started this.Doing “analytics”  for our online store ( dragstripsgone) we found over 65% of people go to our website from their smartphones. The days of old when we started this ,relied on you guys viewing from desktop computers. So when I hear you bitch & moan for trivial things , I wonder If you appreciate stuff when someone else does all the work…. like 5000 photos editted and archived … constant softwear updates… the monthly and annual fees for servers-domain names- hosting -ssl certificates -security plug-ins- repairs to glitches…we’re on it consantly. Done this FREE for years…Its YOUR forum…Us it .

Doesn’t Hurt My Feelings…Purpose of the Forum is to Share and interact with Dover Guys…Photos-history-story’s. What Most Don’t do…always waiting for someone else to give them some ‘entertainment’…. I used to generate that with countless posts to get response. Takes a lot of time. I still run a business ( like 10 hours a day)and have a Race to build week after week through the months, along with other projects & a family .Starting Already for next year’s race ( Stand By for some important announcements).Opinions are fine, if for the good of all. . . thats why I and most stay away from politics and Off Topic stuff….Its a Dover site…always wonder with having so many registered but only a few share anything. It’s like the “lookers” are waiting for the next “show”. Just look at all the Forum topic headings where a lot of you could contribute.  Tomorrow with Ollies help ( thats papasmurph-the computer whiz here ) I’ll show you what I mean with a bunch of new info and posts… Watch how many remain silent.

Pat D. Did you and Mike make it to the Mills Mansion Car Show this year,and if so, how
was the turn out? I never made it, I had a sudden loss in my family, loosing my brother
in law Mike,and made the trip to New Jersey, to attend his funeral. Always expect the
‘unexpected’, as they say!….Pete.

Pete I didn’t get there. I was waiting for a guy from the UP of Michigan to pick up a Willys front end (sheet metal) he showed up around 10AM and left about noon. It was sprinkling here and by 2:30 the skies opened up. People that went said they had about 5 to 6 hundred cars.

Pat, that’s the way it turns out some times, just like what happened to me. I feel bad for the
slight rain they had, however, that’s a darn ‘good’ turnout, of cars!!! Maybe next year?

THANK YOU CHUCK for sharing! That is one “COOL” ride,a nice injected small block!
