I just got this from Dragzine, pray for them.
Top Fuel drivers Dominick Lagana and Richie Crampton were injured in a highway accident a short drive from the Lucas Oil Raceway in Indianapolis late Sunday evening.
According to police reports and local news outlets, 34-year-old Lagana was driving the turbo LS-powered 1957 Chevrolet station wagon built by Crampton and friend Jonnie Lindberg for Drag Week competition when it went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. Per reliable sources but unconfirmed, the occupants were not wearing seat belts — Crampton was said to have been ejected from the vehicle and suffered a broken hip, while Lagana suffered life-threatening injuries and is presently on a ventilator in critical condition. The other passenger, 30-year-old Jake Sanders, was also injured and is being treated at a nearby hospital.

It’s been a ‘bad’ year for all of us, ‘2019’!!!!…..Pete.
OOOOooops! Sorry guys, I meant ‘2020’! I sure would like to hear from a bunch of other ODF’s,
Dom’s father Bobby, was a ‘famous’ Dover drag racer, and join in, that Dom makes it through
all this, with your prayers, to possibly help him heal…..THANKS! … Pete.

NEWSLagana Family Posts Update On Dom Lagana: “It’s Hard To Express In Words The Support Shown For Dom” By Josh Hachat | August 14, 2020 SHARE TWEET SHARE SHARE 0 COMMENTS
Lagana Racing posted an update to social media on Friday regarding the status of Dom Lagana, who was critically injured in a signal-car accident last Sunday.
The crash happened near Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, and passengers in the ’57 Chevy wagon included former Top Fuel driver Richie Crampton and Jake Sanders. Their injuries were not considered life-threatening, and Sanders was released from the hospital early this week in the first bit of great news. Crampton remains hospitalized, but multiple news sources reported Lagana suffered life-threatening injuries.

A great deal of challenges remain for Lagana, a successful Top Fuel driver who currently works on the two-car Torrence Racing team of Steve and Billy Torrence, but the Lagana family has been encouraged by the wave of support surrounding him.
“It’s really hard to express in words the gratitude for all of the support shown for Dom. Dom is a perfect 10 when it comes to love, honor, being positive and most important his kindness to everyone. Dom is in the battle of his life right now and so many people have stepped up to help him. Each day there are improvements and each day there are new challenges. This will be the norm for awhile for Dom.”
The post also praised the drag racing community for rallying around him, Crampton and Sanders, and it’s gone far beyond positive messages on social media.
Close friend and Torrence Racing teammate Gray Pritchett started a GoFundMe for Lagana and Crampton, and more than 500 people have donated in just two days, raising more than $125,000 in the process.
Beyond that, the show of support from drivers, teams, sponsors and more has been incredible, showing the impact the popular Lagana and Crampton have had in the sport.
Crampton raced in the Top Fuel ranks for Kalitta Motorsports last year and was slated to race Jonnie Lindberg’s Top Alcohol Funny Car at the U.S. Nationals next month before the crash took place.
Sanders, a successful engine builder in his shop in Indianapolis, also worked on the Torrence Racing team, and was a member of Drag Illustrated’s 30 Under 30 in 2018.
We will continue with updates on Crampton and Lagana when they become available.
Pat…..THANK YOU VERY MUCH, for letting us know, Dom’s condition, after that terrible accident! He’s
gonna be o.k. by the looks of it,but a “LONG” time, healing process!!!…..Pete.
WOW!!! Where did everybody go,on this site??? There’s gotta be ‘something’ out there, to brighten us
up, instead of feeling ‘depressed’ with this damned virus pandemic!!! WHATCHA GOT??? ….Pete.
WOW! Sad to say this meaningful site any more, is like walking in a church, on Monday
morning,and I’m the only one there,attending!
I know 2020 is a very “BAD” year,for us all,with the virus,and sudden death of V Bob,
but don’t allow this, to flush the ODF site, down the toilet! Think it as your competition
in the other lane, and blow there doors off, of this ‘2020’ curse,we can beat it!!!
THANKS for listing…..Pete.
Sad to say with ‘no’ responses, here on ‘our’ gifted sight, leads me to leave, out the door, and say,
‘many’ THANKS, guys and gals, it brought pleasure to me, ‘many’ times over, communicating with you
ODF er’s over the years!!!! GREATFULLY YOURS!!!…. Pete ( a.k.a ‘Cakes’).
Well I’m a bit rusty at this now! I know that the forum is really inactive now and I also would like to thank Dino
for all he has done for us Dover guys. It was great to be a part of for many years. I have just recently taken the
“SHOTTGUN EXPRESS” valve cover off my garage (Man Cave) wall and sent it to Tyler, Richie Shott’s grandson,
after he called me saying that he was interested in it. Richie Shott had given the valve cover to Brian Marasco who
gave it to Bobby Bartkus (V-Bob) who gave it to me. It has been on my wall for many years. It was a piece of Dover
drag racing history and I was honored to display the valve cover in my garage. I am so glad that Tyler contacted me
and expressed his interest in the valve cover. He has mounted it on wood and it hangs on his bedroom wall. 🙂
My sincere best wishes to everyone and praying that 2021 is a better year for all of us!
Frank…
