I bought a new paper shredder and making good use of it. Income tax returns from 93 to 2010 gone! Getting everything ready for that last trip down the 1/4 mile. To bad I gave up drinking and sweets for lent, I could sure use a Martini now along with a big ole Krauss’s chocolate bar. My wife tried signing up for unemployment online for two hrs and can’t get past the sign in stage.

Holy Shit Pat… from 93 ??? good thing you didn’t burn the damn thing up !!! … we are still down here in florida .. wish Ricky (White) would have gotten in touch with me … we got room for 20 trailers and still practice social distancing… things down here are pretty much what others are experiencing… we play it very close to home and go out only when absolutely necessary.. putting in alot of dock and river time in our backyard… we are blessed with the view and peace and quiet and couldn’t find better neighbors if we tried … Sue works from home so as long as there is wi fi we are good … and so… thinking about good things now… when we leave we may be taking a shit in the woods … i am sure we won’t be alone … pray for an end to this soon… pray for the world .. we are all in this together..

Gotta e mail, from a ‘good’ source. Right now, as of present, the Adirondak Car Show, is
a ‘Go’!!! However, not ‘fully carved in stone’ just yet! Just promising it’ll happen!!!
Got word from V Bob, the manager of the ‘Valley’, it’s a GO also, in April !
                Things are looking up, finally!!!!!….Pete.

THANK YOU RICKY !!! Much appreciated, and maybe we’ll see some light at the end of the
tunnel for the Adirondak Car Show! I only wish some how, ‘Rhinebeck Show’ in May, was
a GO, but well understand, why it was canceled, due to this virus. That was a ‘great’
gathering for us Old Dover Farts,at Pat D’s camp, and cookout !……Pete.

Wishful thinking about the adirondack nats. and lebanon valley opening day …people in general might tend to think its too soon to get back to normal … apprehensive and understandably so …look around … listen to the news… REAL doctors… NOT politicians .. this shit isn’t going away that fast .. i would love to be optimistic but i view it as just a car show and just a drag race … your health is so much more important than that ..

“Two huge events that will bring in millions to lake george… and have a big influence on taxes to residents… if these shows are cancelled then what are the taxpayers facing ?? … am i wrong ??? … enlighten me without sounding like a lawyer…”

What made you change your mind K. The problem with your original statement is, the percent of the Lake George events that go to lowering your property and school taxes and the answer is very little. If the greedy bastards at the top paid what they should things would be different. When Dover was open the difference between owner and worker was about 40% now it’s over 400%. GREED is the problem.

Nothing changed my mind Pat … but.. really… very little of the money from that venue does not lower property taxes ??? … then read me again…you say greedy bastards at the top are everywhere .. so… whats new ? … i believe all i asked is… no show ??? .. how does that affect taxes… you have read way to much into what i said … where did i change my mind ??? … my last post bottom line was… its just a car show and just a drag race … our health is much more important than that … whats the problem ???… and .. no… i do not live in lake george …

No doubt, there’s pro’s and con’s to this whole damned ‘coronavirus’,and we’re all entitled to
our ‘own’ opinions, that’s the ‘American’ Way,whether you agree, or disagree, so be it!
I just like to say, I take my hat off to ‘all’ volunteers working in there communities, helping
those in ‘time of need’,and setting aside anger, frustration, and fear,to take care of one another!
BLESS THEM ALL,FOR THERE UNSUNG KINDNESS and WELCOMING SERVICES!!! Just my 2 cents worth!…Pete.

Sure ‘strange’ looking at all the business’s that are closed, and big parking lots empty! It reminds me of the old
‘blue’ laws. as a kid, on Sunday’s in my home town, most stores weren’t allow to be opened, and beer could not be
sold before 12:00 o’clock, quart cardboard containers, or pitchers only ( no 6 packs!).
I do take this ‘virus’ being very serious, and in the near future, try to get back on track and face ‘reality’ that
it’ll take a while, for the dust to settle, and gain back our loses, other than the ones that lost there battle, fighting
                                            it, a “GREAT” loss!!!!……Pete.

I was at a family funeral yesterday and how things are out there. We were not allowed in the nursing home at all while Covid 19 is going on. The funeral home only allowed 10 people in. There was no church service and no service at cemetery. We could not even go onto cemetery grounds we followed the hearse to the gate, it went in and we drove on home. All of the planning was turned upside down.
